Because we’ve built decks as well as restored them, we know how they should be put together—board spacing, fixings, ventilation, drainage—and we fix underlying issues, not just the surface. Most jobs are completed with minimal disruption and a clean site at the end. If replacement is the smarter option, we’ll say so and quote it.

About Jacob
Jacob is a carpenter by trade who has spent the past seven years building and working with timber decks. After his apprenticeship he ran a small carpentry/renovation business, but decks remained the favourite—especially bringing weathered boards back to life. That led him to specialise: since early 2024 he’s focused full-time on deck restoration, repair, rebuilding and maintenance.
Having built decks from scratch, Jacob knows what “right” looks like. He’s quick to spot issues that ruin finishes—poor spacing, movement, trapped moisture, weak ventilation—and he fixes causes, not just symptoms. Clients choose him for straight talk, careful prep, and finishes that are easy to maintain.
Favourite part of the job: seeing grey, tired timber return to rich colour—and helping clients keep it that way.
