Deck restoration requires more than just sanding and oiling—it demands skill, precision, and the right credentials. We are fully licensed, qualified, and insured, ensuring every job meets the highest standards of workmanship and safety. With our expertise, you’re not just getting a great finish—you’re getting a deck restored correctly, safely, and in full compliance with industry regulations. When you hire us, you can be confident your deck is in the hands of trained professionals who know how to do the job right.
With years of hands-on experience building, repairing, and restoring decks, we’ve worked with all types of timber and have sanded and oiled thousands of square meters of decking. Our results speak for themselves—don’t just take our word for it. Check out our gallery or read our reviews to see the difference expert craftsmanship makes.
Our premium oil provides exceptional protection for your timber—but only when applied correctly. As manufacturer-authorized applicators, we have the expertise to ensure optimal absorption and durability across different timber types and conditions. This certification guarantees that your deck gets the best possible treatment, applied to the highest standard.
Ensuring a smooth surface by lowering screws and punching nails for a clean, even finish.
Sanding deeply and accurately, removing weathered layers, restoring natural timber beauty, and enhancing oil penetration for longer-lasting protection.
Using high-quality, deep-penetrating oil that nourishes and protects the wood while maintaining a low-maintenance, natural finish.
Most deck restorers aren’t licensed carpenters and lack experience in deck construction. This means they often miss underlying issues like subframe problems, improper board spacing, and poor ventilation. They also lack the skill to adjust fasteners or replace boards neatly.
Time and again, we’ve seen recently sanded decks ruined by overdriven screws, split timber, and damaged fasteners. In many cases, the real issue—poor drainage or ventilation due to incorrect board spacing—was never addressed before sanding, making the restoration just a band-aid solution. A proper assessment by an experienced carpenter ensures your deck is restored the right way, not just resurfaced.
Achieving a smooth, even deck finish requires industrial-grade sanders, not the low-powered rentals from Bunnings. These cheaper machines often leave gouges (“spoon” marks) in the timber, as they lack the precision of premium sanders.
Another risk? Inexperienced operators using rented sanders are less cautious with fasteners—after all, it’s not their sanding drum to replace. Plus, thick water-based coatings often mask poor sanding, meaning less care is taken. We use high-end equipment and expert techniques to ensure a flawless, long-lasting result.
Cheaper water-based stains, like Cabot’s Aquadeck ($230/10L) or Intergrain Ultradeck ($280/10L), may look good initially but are a maintenance headache. They form a surface layer that traps moisture once worn, leading to damage. Over time, they build up, becoming opaque and paint-like—many of our “before” photos show the results.
In contrast, Cutek CD50 Extreme ($400/10L) penetrates deep into the timber, repelling water from the inside out. It works even on cracked timber, fades naturally instead of peeling, and simply requires reapplication—without layering or buildup. Plus, it offers cumulative protection, strengthening your deck with each coat.
We are really passionate about restoring and looking after timber and would love to help in anyway we can.
